5.    Consumer Purchases

As a consumer you agree that by purchasing products from this website that you are 18 years old or over.
As a consumer you may purchase goods from our website using a credit or debit card, a list of acceptable cards will be shown during the checkout process. All payments for goods and delivery cost are taken in advance.
When using our website to purchase products, you will be able to select products and place them in your shopping basket, you will then have the opportunity to review and amend your basket before confirming your purchase.
When you have completed your purchases you will receive an e-mail acknowledging that we have received your order and that the order is pending.
Once we have confirmed that a valid payment has been received and that your goods are available you will receive a further email informing you that your order is being processed.
Finally, once your order has been packed and collected by our courier, you will receive an email informing you that your order has been despatched.

6.    Consumer’s Right of Return

If as a consumer you purchase goods via our website, you have a legal right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, any cancellation must be notified to us within 14 working days after receipt of the goods. Please note that this applies to standard items only and not to custom made products.

In order to cancel an order or to return goods to us for a refund, you will need to contact us either by telephone on 01933 226007 or by email to web@sterlinghpc.co.uk
We will authorise a full refund of the cost of the order, including standard delivery charges to the credit or debit card used for the purchase effective as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after receipt of your cancellation notification.
If the order has been delivered to you, prior to cancellation, you must return the goods to us within 14 days of your cancellation notification at your expense, unless the goods were delivered incorrectly or were faulty on arrival.
All goods returned to us must be in their original packaging and in a saleable condition, under the legislation we are entitled to reduce the refund to reflect the reduced value of the goods when returned to us.

7.    Trade Customer Purchases

As a trade customer, you confirm that you have the authority to purchase products on behalf of the company you are representing and that you have the authority to bind that company into a contract with us.
As a trade customer you may pay by credit or debit card or through an authorised credit account subject to the account not being on hold.
When the goods are delivered to a customer, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods have been received in good condition. Where it is not possible to fully examine the goods on receipt, the courier’s paperwork should be marked appropriately, failure to do so may result in any claim for shortages or damage being denied.

Should it be deemed necessary to return goods to us, please note that no returns will be accepted without prior notice having been given to Sterling. Any orders which consist of special or made to measure items may not be cancelled or returned.

8.  Trade Accounts

In order to open a trade account, you will need to be Gas Safe registered, applications for trade accounts will have to be approved by Sterling and will be dependent on a valid Gas Safe number being submitted for verification.
